The Spirit
Sunday Gin — lighter and more citrus-forward than our flagship. Made for long afternoons and low-effort perfection.
What You'll Need — serves 1
- 45 ml Sunday Gin
- 30 ml dry vermouth (Noilly Prat)
- 15 ml elderflower cordial
- 60 ml soda water
- Large mint sprig, orange slice
- Ice — a full glass
Glass: Large wine glass or balloon glass, full of ice
Garnish: Slapped mint sprig, orange slice
Instructions
- Fill a large wine glass generously with ice.
- Add gin and dry vermouth.
- Add elderflower cordial.
- Pour soda gently down the inside of the glass — slow pour keeps the fizz.
- Give one slow stir from the bottom.
- Hold a large mint sprig in both hands and give it one firm slap — this releases the oils without bruising it. Place it on top.
- Add an orange slice.
The Story
The spritz format is underrated as a serious cocktail vehicle. Vermouth + gin with a splash of soda is essentially a very diluted Martini with bubbles, and that''s not a bad place to start. Sunday Gin''s citrus and floral notes play well with elderflower and the whole thing is light enough that you can drink two of them in an afternoon without losing the thread of a conversation.
That''s the whole point.
