Botanist's Punch

The Spirits

Garden Gin + Tuscan Gin — our most floral and our most herbal expression, together in a jug. The florals and the Mediterranean herbs balance beautifully at scale.

What You'll Need — serves 6–8

  • 200 ml Sunday Gin
  • 100 ml Tuscan Gin
  • 150 ml fresh lemon juice
  • 80 ml hibiscus syrup (or elderflower cordial)
  • 100 ml cranberry juice
  • 600 ml soda water (add at service — not before)
  • 1 cup fresh berries (strawberries, raspberries)
  • Cucumber slices, lemon rounds
  • 1 large ice block or many ice cubes

Glass: Wine glasses over ice, or a proper punch bowl Garnish: Fresh berries, cucumber, edible flowers if available

Instructions

The night before (or at least 2 hours ahead):

  1. 1Combine both gins, lemon juice, hibiscus syrup and cranberry juice in a large jug or punch bowl.
  2. 2Stir to combine and refrigerate.

At service:

  1. 1Add a large ice block to the jug (or a tray of ice cubes in a punch bowl).
  2. 2Top with soda water and stir gently from the bottom once.
  3. 3Float fresh berries, cucumber slices and lemon rounds on the surface.
  4. 4Ladle into wine glasses over ice.

The Story

Punch is the original cocktail format — batched, communal, made ahead, consumed generously. This recipe uses two of our gins because together they do something neither achieves alone: Garden''s florals and Tuscan''s herbaceous character create a complexity that reads as something more than the sum of its parts.

Make this for any gathering at the distillery. Make it the night before and let the flavours develop. Accept compliments graciously.
