Our Barley Rye Vodka Wash is a grain-forward spirit that celebrates the honest marriage of malted barley and rye. Built on a foundation of premium Joe White Pilsner malt and spicy malted rye, this clean, approachable vodka carries subtle cereal notes and a whisper of natural sweetness. It's the perfect canvas for showcasing native botanicals in our gin expressions, or standing proud on its own as a modern Australian vodka.

🍸 How to Enjoy

Best served chilled, neat in a classic vodka glass, or over a single large ice cube to let the grain character breathe. Equally at home as the spirit foundation in a premium martini or classic vodka cocktail.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Fresh grain and sweet malt lead, with gentle cereal notes building mid-nose. A soft, clean character with hints of biscuit and subtle spice from the rye backbone.

Palate

Clean and smooth arrival with characteristic grain sweetness. The mid-palate opens gently with cereal and light malt texture, culminating in a silky, neutral body with fine balance.

Finish

Crisp and dry, with lingering grain warmth. Finishes clean and composed, leaving only whispered sweetness on the palate.

From the Still House

Crafted using traditional mashing of premium malted barley and rye, then fermented with precision M-1 yeast to deliver a clean, characterful grain spirit. The controlled fermentation and careful water management preserve the malt's natural expression while building complexity beneath the surface.

Botanical Sources

While this expression focuses on premium European malts as its foundation, we source Joe White Pilsner barley and malted rye from trusted Australian grain suppliers, maintaining the integrity of locally-grown, quality ingredients.
